Auckland police are interested in the movements of a blue-coloured Nissan Bluebird following a child's death on Sunday

A 37-year-old has already appeared in Manukau District Court charged with murder, after a child's body was brought to Manukau Police Station early Monday morning.

Police want to know if anyone saw the car - or any suspicious activity - around Waiouru Road in Highbrook and East Tamaki between 8:30pm Sunday and 1am Monday.

They're hoping any witnesses of suspicious activity will come forward with information.
