    A man has been charged - accused of breaking into Murupara's unmanned Police Station yesterday


    Officers spent hours talking to the 55-year-old, who allegedly broke in by smashing a glass door.

    An axe and machete were found in his vehicle - and a chainsaw discovered thrown over a fence.

    He's been charged with committing burglary with a weapon, and intentional damage.

    He's expected to appear in Rotorua District Court today.
