Tilda Swinton is fronting Tom Ford Beauty's new campaign

The Oscar-winning star is teaming up with the brand as the face of the new Black Orchid Reserve fragrance campaign that is launching on Monday (01.09.25)

Striking footage from the campaign, showing Tilda in fluid motion, has been designed by Tom Ford creative director Haider Ackermann and shot by Inez and Vinoodh.

The Room Next Door actress said in a statement: "Transformation, the blurring of boundaries and the celebration of magical properties have always drawn me close: Black Orchid Reserve is precisely such an enchantment, rare and uncompromising in its vision."

Swinton, 64, continued: "To be part of this chapter for this estimable house, for which I have always held the deepest admiration, with the inauguration of my beloved Haider Ackermann as creative director, is a matter of pure joy and the heartfelt celebration of long friendship and the eternal grace of love."

Ackermann - who joined Tom Ford as creative director last year - paid tribute to Tilda's "rare" beauty and feels that she "embodies" the fragrance's "essence".

He explained: "Tilda Swinton does not belong to one moment or one era. Her beauty is rare, her elegance enduring, her presence felt even in silence. She embodies the mysterious essence of Black Orchid Reserve."

Black Orchid Reserve is the newest iteration of Tom Ford's debut fragrance Black Orchid, which launched back in 2006.

It introduces the Ghost Orchid, a phantom-like flower that has notes of white floral and provides a contrast to the dark accords and spice of Black Orchid.

Guillaume Jesel, president and chief ex ecutive officer of Tom Ford, said: "Black Orchid Reserve marks a bold new chapter for Tom Ford's first and top-selling women's fragrance franchise.

"With her extraordinary artistry and cultural influence, Tilda Swinton perfectly embodies the iconic mystery of this fragrance, positioning it at the pinnacle of luxury beauty."

The fragrance launched in Britain earlier this month and will be available everywhere else from next week.
