Condemnation for Jevon McSkimming - after he's pleaded guilty to having child exploitation and bestiality images on work devices

Condemnation for Jevon McSkimming - after he's pleaded guilty to having child exploitation and bestiality images on work devices

The former Deputy Police Commissioner's admitted to three representative charges of possessing objectionable material in Wellington District Court this afternoon.

Court documents reveal he told a colleague he needed different types of pornography to "feel anything" which "just kept escalating".

Police Commissioner Richard Chambers says this shameful episode has done his staff an immense disservice

He says when he learned of the material he moved to remedy gaps in staff-use of Police devices - and they'll take action where conduct falls short.
