    Death toll rises to 55 as Hong Kong blaze continues to burn, three arrested

    A massive high-rise apartment fire in Hong Kong's Tai Po district has killed at least 55 people and left hundreds more missing, with firefighters continuing to battle the blaze — as it happened.


    A massive high-rise apartment fire in Hong Kong's Tai Po district has killed at least 55 people and left hundreds more missing, with firefighters continuing to battle the blaze, which has spread across multiple buildings.

    Police say they have arrested three people on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the fire, which authorities said spread unusually quickly due to irregular building materials.
