Police in Whangarei are appealing for information about an aggravated robbery on Boxing Day

Two people threatened a person with a firearm before assaulting him and taking a vehicle on Collingwood Street in the early hours of the morning.

The victim was left with minor injuries.

Police say anyone who's seen the dark coloured Volkswagen hatchback with distinctive mags and stickers - registration RBZ53 - should get in touch.
