It's been revealed another health provider, Canopy Healthcare, was hit by a data breach - six months ago

The news comes after more than 100-thousand Manage My Health users were impacted by a major data breach.

Those affected by the Canopy Healthcare breach have only just been informed of the attack, which impacted patient records, passport information, and bank account details.

The group describes itself as the largest private medical oncology provider in New Zealand, and includes Auckland Breast Centre, Canopy Imaging, Canopy Cancer Care, Absolute Radiology and iMIX.

Canopy Healthcare says it identified the breach on July 18, and it's contacting affected individuals directly.
