Katie Price has never met her new mother-in-law

The 47-year-old former glamour model got married to Dubai-based businessman Lee Andrews over the weekend after a whirlwind romance, and their relationship has moved so quickly that she's still not met his mother Trisha Andrews.

Trisha, 61, told the Daily Mail newspaper: "No, I've not met her yet but hope to soon. We have been speaking a lot."

The clairvoyant - who insisted she didn't mind if her son married "someone famous or not" - played coy with her feelings about Katie.

She added: "I am very happy for my son and that he is in love, whoever they are.

"I have my thoughts about Katie but I don't want to broadcast them. It is unfair to judge people. I will not have a bad word to say about my son or Katie.

"As a mother I will defend my son! As long as they are happy together that's all that matters."

Trisha revealed she knew "a bit in advance" about the nuptials, while Katie's family have said they were "left in the dark".

Katie revealed she and Lee had connected online before they met in person and had even got matching tattoos and wedding rings before they saw one another face-to-face.

She told The Sun newspaper: "How I met Lee was esoteric; we connected [by] both checking each others' socials and quickly realised: 'Wow, this is for me'.

"In the old-fashioned way, first by words which captured us both. That evolved deeper as we connected further within days [getting] matching tattoos, and then both deciding to buy rings for the other.

"All this without even meeting, we let fate, but you could say destiny, decide."

She went on to add: "I'm just so happy with my person that is just as happy as I am. What we have, they haven't even invented the words. He has now the best version of me which can only grow more, knowing we are each others'.

"On the wedding, all I can say is 'fatale', and this was a wedding at First Sight."

She later confirmed the marriage on Instagram, writing: "Happiest Mr and Mrs".

It is Katie's fourth trip down the aisle after previous marriages to Peter Andre, father of her children Junior and Princess, from 2005 until 2009, Alex Reid between 2010 and 2012, and Kieran Hayler - dad to Bunny and Jett - from 2013 to 2021, while she is also mother to eldest son Harvey from a previous relationship.

Lee is Katie's fourth husband but the ninth man she has been engaged to.
