From a hospital bed to Hagley Oval

That sums up the journey back to domestic cricket for Canterbury pace bowler Andrew Hazeldine.

The 27-year-old was forced to withdraw from the squad last season after being diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin's lymphoma.

He's now in remission and determined to return.

However, Hazeldine won't don the whites for the Plunket Shield opener tomorrow against Central Districts at Hagley Oval due to a groin niggle.
