The confirmed cases are a MIQ border worker, their household contact, and a worker at Auckland airport.

Another contact's infection is still being sequenced.

The Auckland airport worker was at the Ara-Tai Cafe in Half Moon Bay on Tuesday between 12.30pm and 2pm.

The Ministry of Health says the cafe is high risk ... and anyone at the cafe at the listed time should self-isolate, test immediately - and again on day five since exposure.

Today's community cases are spread across Auckland, Lakes, Hawke's Bay, Canterbury and the West Coast.

There are 21 people in hospital, with one in ICU.
