The Titans have denied a release request from the management of club rookie of the year Josiah Pahulu to join the Bulldogs in the NRL

The Titans have denied a release request from the management of club rookie of the year Josiah Pahulu to join the Bulldogs in the NRL

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The 20-year-old - contracted for next season - emerged as the club's most promising young forward this year.

It's believed the dispute has arisen over an alleged 40-thousand dollar bonus Pahulu would have received had he played 20 matches in the most recent season - he played 19.

AAP reports the Titans will "not be bullied" into releasing Pahulu.
