Donors are filling funding gaps for a science and tech charity, left during Government funding cuts

Donors are filling funding gaps for a science and tech charity, left during Government funding cuts

The Wonder Project, which delivers STEM kits for those in Years 5 to 13, had a 1.2 million dollar fund discontinued by Callaghan Innovation at the end of 2023.

A review found it was performing well but did not align with its current strategy.

Wonder Project Director Shelley Pearce says they reached around 36-thousand students in 2023.

She says they had to cut that back - and aim to reach 26-thousand students in 2025.
