Kyle Jenkins' body was found in a creek beside State Highway 15, on Wednesday.

The investigation team's seeking any sightings of a red Daihatsu on Otaika Valley Road or Mangakahia Road last Tuesday night, between 8.15 and 9.15.

Police will be conducting checkpoints in the area - and canvassing the area asking for information.
