Police in Wellington are still not saying what link, if any, there is between a violent home invasion and a suspected homicide minutes later

A 28-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with the break-in, and scuffle with the Miramar homeowner early last Monday.

He has name suppression and will re-appear at the Wellington District Court next month.

Meanwhile, Police continue to search for answers after finding 63-year-old Abdul Nabizadah fatally injured on the side of a nearby road minutes later.

Police say they're yet to determine a link, despite the close proximity.
