    The family of missing a 17-year-old missing in Auckland for nearly a week, are desperate for news


    Whetu Bennett was last seen at West Auckland's LynnMall, just after 12.30pm on Tuesday - wearing a black dress, beige top and sunglasses.

    Sister Janet Jones, says she had been at the mall with her partner - and understood the pair may have had a disagreement, and the boyfriend returned home.

    Her family says Whetu recently moved to Auckland from Waikato - and doesn't have a phone.

    They say they're extremely worried, and need to know that she is safe.
