Californian AI chip giant, Nvidia, has become the world's first five-trillion dollar company

Its share price rose nearly five percent at the open of trading on Wall Street, pushing its market capitalisation past a new threshold.

It's greater than the GDPs of France and Germany.

BBC Correspondent Erin Delmore says in July, Nvidia was the first company worth four-trillion.

CEO Jenson Wong says they expect more than 500 billion dollars in chip sales - and it's creating seven super computers for the US Government.
