    Golfer Ryan Fox is in a three-way share of the lead after the opening round of the Australian Open in Melbourne


    He mixed four birdies with a bogey in both his front and back nines, to open with a six-under 65 alongside Australian Elvis Smylie and Mexico's Carlos Ortiz.

    Fox was pleased with the day, given the troublesome conditions on course.



    Daniel Hillier is tied for seventh at three-under par.
