Six years of challenges, court hearings, and legal battles have paid off for two parents

Six years of challenges, court hearings, and legal battles have paid off for two parents

A landmark Supreme Court ruling yesterday means people providing full-time care for severely disabled family members - are entitled to pay.

The case was brought by two parents, Christine Fleming and Peter Humphreys, who each care for their severely disabled adult children.

Humphreys says, for him, it was never about the money.

He says, now as an employee of the Government, he has workers' rights and can complain if there are issues.
