    The operators of patient portal Manage My Health are assuring users it systems are secure


    It has confirmed there was unauthorised access to its systems containing private health records of some 1.8 million users.

    It estimates more than 100,000 New Zealanders could be affected.

    In an update, Manage My Health says it has received independent confirmation from its cyber security specialists, that everything is operating as intended.

    It is also commencing legal action to protect client data and set up a helpline for those impacted.
