Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are already thinking about having another child

The couple welcomed daughter Scottie into the world last month and they already "love the idea" of the tot being a big sister one day.

Pete told Us Weekly magazine: "We want her to have a friend, for sure. We love the idea of her being a big sister."

Elsie added: "I didn't think I would already think about having another one. The idea of that sounds absolutely insane right now. ... The process of giving birth is so insane, but so empowering once it happens. Just having this little thing, I really can't explain how incredible the whole thing is.

"The idea of making another one and making a sibling is something I've already been like, 'I want to do it again.' They're so tiny when they come out, and they grow so fast. It's crazy."

However, the former Saturday Night Live star admitted he and Elsie, 29, are focused on adjusting to their new lives as parents for now.

He said: "I think, obviously, we talk about next steps and all that stuff.

But right now, we're just, like, let's get this routine with this baby down. ... The first three months of the baby is, you're just keeping her alive. We're already, like, we're gonna have another one."

Although sleepless nights can be challenging, both Pete, 32, and Elsie are proud of how they have handled parenthood so far.

Pete said: "I think we're both a little more resilient than we thought, which is cool."

Elsie added: "I can't sit here and tell you that any of this is easy, but you're so right. Continue having resilience, even when you don't think you can. And you get through it, and then you always are stronger from it."

The couple's relationship is very serious.

Asked if they will marry or have enough children for their own soccer team, Pete said: "Yeah, we'll do all that stuff."

Elsie previously admitted she was in awe of her little girl.

Just a week after giving birth, she shared a selfie on Instagram and wrote: "To all the moms do u also just sit and stare at your baby and cry at how much you love them and can't believe it's yours and that your body made this perfect thing and u don't even know how to handle how in love u are so u just start crying. (sic)"
