    The man accused of fatally killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson won't face the death penalty


    Luigi Mangione is alleged to have fatally shot Thompson outside a New York hotel in December 2024.

    The 27-year-old has pleaded not guilty to charges including federal counts of stalking and separate state murder charges.

    His trial is set to take place later this year.
