The Court of Appeal's been told to take no heed of the mosque terrorist's claims he involuntarily pleaded guilty to murder, attempted murder and terrorism

The Court of Appeal's been told to take no heed of the mosque terrorist's claims he involuntarily pleaded guilty to murder, attempted murder and terrorism

It's the last day of Brenton Tarrant's attempt to vacate his guilty pleas in the Court of Appeal.

He argues prison conditions so badly affected his mental state, his admission was forced and irrational.

But Crown lawyer Barnaby Hawes says saying he masked his condition - doesn't explain the lack of proof of a breakdown.

He says Tarrant is an unreliable witness, and his evidence and narrative should be treated with marked caution.
