A weather front's drenching parts of the South Island until tonight, and bringing temperatures down for Southerners

Heavy rain watches have been issued for Fiordland and Southland today, with downpours possibly reaching warning-levels in some areas.
Metservice forecasts a low-to-moderate chance of rainfall intensifying further.
Meteorologist Katie Lyons, says temperatures in the Island will drop, as the weather front moves up.
She says Christchurch will go from a high of 28 degrees, to a high of 15 tomorrow.
