Calls for action, rather than ice blocks, when it comes to air conditioning at Hawke's Bay Hospital

Calls for action, rather than ice blocks, when it comes to air conditioning at Hawke's Bay Hospital

Ice blocks and fans helped staff and patients cope with 30 degree heat last summer.

A new 14 million dollar boost from the government's failed to include anything for new air conditioning.

Association of Salaried Medical Specialist Executive Director Sarah Dalton says they're considering legal action if the problem's not addressed before next summer.

She says it's all very well knowing the problems, but the question is how we fix them, and when.
