It's thought Otago's party culture has evolved in the five years since Sophia Crestani's death

It's thought Otago's party culture has evolved in the five years since Sophia Crestani's death

The 19-year-old died at an overcrowded student flat party on Dundas Street.

One of the Coroner's recommendations was for students to register large parties they host, and monitor numbers on the night.

Otago University Students' Association President, Keegan Wells says many already do.

She says there's a growing attitude towards compliance, as party hosts want to keep their friends safe.
