Callum Turner has confessed it's "very exciting" to be engaged to Dua Lipa because they can't wait to "grow old" together

The 35-year-old actor announced his engagement to the pop star in June and he's now opened up about their plans to marry - revealing it's a big decision but he's glad they are planning to make a lifelong commitment to each other

He told The Sunday Times Style magazine: "It's very exciting ... This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don't know, be best friends for ever - it's a really special feeling."

Callum also explained they were both nervous to meet each other's families after they first started dating in January 2024, telling the publication: "Of course [Dua was nervous] - she wanted my mum to like her. I was nervous meeting her parents too - I wanted her parents to like me."

He went on to insist he has often forgets he's one half of a very famous couple until a fan asks for a selfie.

Callum added: "I mean, it is what it is. The truth is I forget all the time. I forget and then I'm reminded in moments where someone asks for a photo or someone screams."

It comes after Dua, 29, admitted she is "happier than ever" since she got engaged to Callum and has been "intensely falling" more and more in love with him.

She told Harper's BAZAAR magazine: 'I love love. It is a beautiful thing. It's a really inspiring thing. You find yourself so intensely falling all the time in the best way possible. That vulnerability is so scary, but I feel so lucky to get to feel it.

"I've spent a lot of time being guarded or protecting my heart, and so I'm letting go of that feeling and just being like, 'Okay, if I'm supposed to get hurt, then this is what's going to happen.' I have to just allow love."

She added: "I'm happier than ever, so it feels like I'm doing a disservice by not talking about it.

"When you're a public person, anything that's very personal is very vulnerable. It's not like I don't want to share it."
