Chris Noth was "disappointed" by the way his Sex and the City co-star Sarah Jessica Parker turned on him after he was accused of sexual assault by multiple women

The 71-year-old actor's career has been curtailed since the allegations against him were first made in 2021 and he felt abandoned by Sarah - who portrayed Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO series - as she put out a statement with her co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon saying they were "deeply saddened" by the accusations.

Speaking on an upcoming episode of the Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson podcast, Chris - who played Carrie's husband Mr. Big in Sex and the City - said: "We're not friends - I think that's pretty obvious.

"The statement they put out - which was nothing more than brand management, really - I don't know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising.

"Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You've known me for many years, and we've worked (together) for many years.

"I get it, that's more Hollywood than Hollywood. But before you make that statement, you know me, you've known me all these years, give me a call so I can give you the real scoop about this.

"And that didn't happen, and that was too bad."

Chris, whose alter ego was killed off in the Sex and the City sequel series And Just Like That... in the wake of the allegations, explained that he has learned vital lessons from the situation as he now realises who his "real friends are".

The Good Wife star said: "What's gained is good. You know where people stand and you know who your real friends are and who they're not.

"That's important to know. I just know if it had been on the other hand, I wouldn't have done that."

He added of his treatment by his Sex and the City co-stars: "That was hurtful, and it really affected everything."

Noth took a one-word swipe at Sarah on social media earlier this month by agreeing with a disparaging comment about the star after she received the 2026 Carol Burnett award at a Golden Globes-adjacent event, but quickly played down the controversy.

He wrote on Instagram: "My off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot.

"It is not news. It is not worth all this discussion.

"It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about."
