    A teenager is due in court after a woman was found dead in Selwyn overnight


    Her body was discovered at a rural lifestyle block on Burnham School Road at 3am.

    The Herald's Jazlyn Whales is at the scene and says Police are focusing on the back of the property in a patio area.

    She says it's a rural Canterbury road - and the closest neighbour is further along the road, down a long driveway.

    A 19-year-old will appear in the Christchurch District Court this afternoon - charged with assault.
