War in the Middle East: Iranian footballer led onto bus by wrist before police escort to airport

Video captured by a protester shows an Iranian footballer being led, seemingly reluctantly, by her wrist by a team member onto a bus headed for the airport, with the opposition calling the footage "concerning". Follow live.

Members of the Iranian women's football team have been escorted by police to Gold Coast Airport as protesters chanted "save our girls".

A video filmed by a protester appears to show one player being led by her wrist, seemingly reluctantly, by a team member from her hotel to the bus, with the opposition calling the footage "concerning".

Earlier, the Australian government granted five players asylum.

Overseas, US President Donald Trump said he thinks the war against Iran "is very complete", but Iran's Revolutionary Guard responded by saying that is "nonsense".
