Changes to Funded Family Care are being welcomed, but with a view they could have been bolder

Government reforms will see pay increases of up to three-thousand-300-dollars, annually.

It will also widen who's eligible for the scheme, along with legislation to remove a requirement for an employment relationship between families.

Carer Franky Lewis says people have concerns over how pay will reflect hours worked, and their experience.

She says family members who have been supporting their children for 40 years, would expect a higher pay rate than those just starting.
