Police are reassuring west Aucklanders about their safety, following a homicide in Whenuapai

Emergency services were called to a man requiring medical assistance, after an incident at a property on Trig Road, in Whenuapai, about 2am.

The man died at the scene.

Detective Inspector Aaron Proctor, of Waitemata CIB, says he'd like to reassure the wider west Auckland community that Police are working hard to hold anyone involved in the incident to account.

Police are speaking to people who were at the property at the time of the incident, and a scene examination is underway.
