While Auckland's preparing to move to Level Three - northern Hauraki has entered a 'bespoke' lockdown

While Auckland's preparing to move to Level Three - northern Hauraki has entered a 'bespoke' lockdown

Auckland will shift out of lockdown at 11.59 tonight while wider New Zealand will remain at Alert Level Two.

Level Two rules have been relaxed to allow one-hundred people to gather -- including at hospitality venues.

However, a section 70 notice has been placed on Hauraki communities south of Miranda and above Maramarua.

Three people living in Whakatiwai have caught the virus after an infected remand prisoner was bailed to their home.

Anyone who has been in northern Hauraki since September 8 must isolate and monitor for symptoms.

The order will be in placed until at least 11.59 Friday night.

Already, more than 300 testing swabs had been taken in the small community Kaiaua.

Waikato DHB is operating drive-through testing centres at Wharekawa Marae, Rata Road, East Coast Road and Kaiaua.
