Auckland Council's doing what it can to support local businesses hit by Covid-19

Auckland Council's doing what it can to support local businesses hit by Covid-19

Its Finance and Performance committee has unanimously agreed to extend the postponement of rates for those hit by Covid, and continue its current support measures for Auckland business.

The region is approaching its tenth week in lockdown.

The council's economic unit estimates Auckland's GDP loss under Alert Level 4 is 85 to100 million dollars per day and 50-70 million under Alert Level 3.
