Police are increasing their presence in two Auckland suburbs where shots were fired at homes on Wednesday night

Police are increasing their presence in two Auckland suburbs where shots were fired at homes on Wednesday night

Investigations are continuing into the two incidents in Onehunga and Mangere East.

Police say they're keeping an "open mind" on whether the two incidents are connected, and they're continuing to follow lines of inquiry and review a significant amount of CCTV footage.

Inquiries are also continuing into another Wednesday night incident at Millhouse Reserve in Northpark that saw a child rushed to hospital.
