A climate researcher says the impacts of climate change are clear, with another year of above average temperatures

NIWA says New Zealand's temperature last year averaged about 13 degrees -- the 10th warmest year on record.
Eight of our warmest years have been in the past 10.
Victoria University of Wellington's James Renwick says our weather's becoming more differentiated, between east and west.
He says the wet places are becoming wetter and the dry places dryer, with extreme droughts and rain events.
