    Police say human remains found in the Southern Alps, belong to a person who went missing five years ago


    A contractor found a bone in Otira River last month, near Arthur's Pass.

    ESR scientists confirm it was from tramper, Marni Sheppeard, last heard from in November 2020.

    Police found her partial remains in the Rolleston River in 2021.

    Her family has been informed.
