    New figures show how pandemic lockdowns pushed up rents


    Trade Me's latest Rental Price Index reveals the weekly national median has jumped 25 percent since March 2020.

    It's reached 640 dollars.

    Property Customer Director, Gavin Lloyd, says in the intervening years, prices have moved a lot.

    He says the biggest challenge post-lockdown was lack of rental properties - in an already very tight market.
