    A paedophile teacher jailed indefinitely for sexually abusing 20 Northland boys could be released into the community this year


    James Robertson Parker was sentenced to preventive detention in 2013, after admitting 74 charges of sexually abusing boys aged nine-to-16.

    The offending happened over 13 years, mostly at Pamapuria School - where he was deputy principal.

    Parker appeared before the Parole Board for a fourth time today.

    The Board says he has more work to do to before a possible release - and it'll see him again in November.
