A broader range of businesses can now access New Zealand's dairy export quotas

A broader range of businesses can now access New Zealand's dairy export quotas

The Dairy Industry Restructuring Amendment Bill, passed its third reading today.

It aims to modernise the quota system, create growth opportunities and boost returns.

Quotas are currently administered for countries such as the UK and US.

Agriculture Minister Todd McClay says the Bill shifts quota allocation to an export performance based system, and ensures fairer access.
