Scott Watson intends to make another bid to appeal his double murder conviction as he maintains his innocence

Open Justice reports a Court of Appeal decision's ruled he has not suffered a miscarriage of justice, upholding his convictions for murdering Olivia Hope and Ben Smart in the Marlborough Sounds in 1998.

One of Watson's lawyers, Kerry Cook, told our newsroom Watson intends to make an application for leave to apply to the Supreme Court in another appeal attempt.

His father Chris Watson describes it as a hatchet job on his son.

He says Scott Watson's obviously disappointed, but it's just business as usual.
