The Government's aiming to bring consistency to rules for the hospitality sector

The Government's aiming to bring consistency to rules for the hospitality sector

The Ministry for Regulation's launching a wide-ranging review of rules governing everything from bars, to restaurants, to market stalls.

It's expected to take six months and will report back to responsible Minister's with recommendations.

Regulation Minister David Seymour says it makes no sense for there to be vastly different rules in each district.

He says he hopes a set of recommendations for best practice comes from the review, which can be used to see the councils with too many rules.
