Waimakariri's MP has contacted Police, after a rock was thrown through his car's rear window

Matt Doocey's Party-branded car now has a shattered windscreen.

Doocey says in 11 years in politics, nothing like this has ever happened before.

He says it's disappointing, and locals share his disbelief.

A man was charged this month, accused of shattering a window at MP Winston Peters' house, with a crowbar.
