A sexual education expert says terms used in Government curriculum changes are too vague

A sexual education expert says terms used in Government curriculum changes are too vague

Education Minister Erica Stanford's draft Year 1-to-10 curriculum has opened for feedback from schools and educators - for six months.

A key change includes making consent education compulsory in health and physical education.

But Sex and Relationship Therapist Jo Robertson says she worries the lack of clarity in the guidelines mean things won't substantially change.

She says the word 'consent' isn't used until Year 3 and the word 'genitals' isn't used until Year 8.
