    The Construction Minister is being urged to take action on overheating in new build homes


    The Green Building Council Chief Executive Andrew Eagles and Auckland Council Chief Executive Phil Wilson have written Chris Penk an open letter.

    Eagles says there needs to be a check at the design stage to stop sweltering temperatures of up to 50 degrees in some homes.

    He says it prevents people from sleeping and can cause other health issues.
