A close bond off the pitch for the Wellington Phoenix women is a benefit of away trips

A close bond off the pitch for the Wellington Phoenix women is a benefit of away trips

The team are coming off a 1-nil loss to the Melbourne Victory last week - and a win against the Perth Glory tonight will put them into the top-six playoff places in the A-League.

Gaffer Bev Priestman says what happens away from football in a side is as important as results.

Priestman believes Perth's position on the table isn't doing them justice and the Phoenix are aware of the threats they pose.

The game starts at midnight, New Zealand time.
