    Police are urgently appealing for any sightings of a 20-year-old tramper, missing near Lake Ohau in the Mackenzie Basin


    Connor Purvis intended to climb Mount Huxley about Tuesday last week, then descend the Huxley River South Branch.

    He hasn't returned - prompting major land and aerial searches.

    Otago Coordinator, Sergeant Matt Sheat, says teams have been trawling through huts and campsites, but found no sign of him.

    He's asking anyone who climbed, tramped or hunted in the area, between last Sunday and Friday to contact Police.
