    Hopes for the recovery of three victims, as Police investigate this morning's shootings at Waitarere Beach, near Levin


    A 43 year old woman, and two young men, aged 21 and 17, are in a critical condition, and a 60-year-old man is dead.

    Police believe the incident involved a family.

    Manawatu Area Commander, Ross Grantham, says it's likely the first officers on the scene helped ensure the trio's survival.

    He says the public should keep them in their thoughts.
