Tyler Hilton and Megan Park split "some time ago"

The 42-year-old actor responded to speculation about his and the 39-year-old film director's relationship with a statement shared to Instagram on Friday (16.01.26).

Tyler - who married Megan in October 2015 - wrote: "A life update: I've never been super comfortable sharing personal information about our family life, but I've seen enough speculation online that I thought warranted clarity.

"Some time ago, Megan and I decided to end our marriage. We continue to make the kids and co-parenting the priority. Thanks for continuing to respect our privacy."

It is not known exactly when the couple - who have a daughter called Winnie, five, and an 18-month-old son named Benny - split.

Unlike The One Tree Hill star, Megan has - at the time of publication - not commented publicly on their breakup.

The news that their romance is over comes three months after they celebrated their milestone 10th wedding anniversary in October.

In March last year, Tyler - who met Megan in 2006 on the set of the 2007 comedy-romance film, Charlie Bartlett - opened up about their relationship.

He told Us Weekly: "People are so weirded out because she was like this Christian, goody two-shoes, 'I'm a virgin' on Secret Life. And I was such a raunch dog on One Tree Hill. They're like, 'What? How did these characters end up together?'"

Tyler - who played Chris Keller on One Tree Hill - continued: "I think people's minds are blown, but a lot of people don't know until they see us together. I guess we've been more private than I've realised."

Tyler and Megan - who got engaged in California towards the end of 2013, when he popped the question with his great-grandmother's ring - no longer act.

He now focuses on music, and Megan has become a successful film director, with credits including the 2021 teen-drama, The Fallout, and the 2024 comedy-drama My Old A**.

And Tyler - who, in October 2015, married Megan during an intimate ceremony in front of loved ones in Malibu, California, which she described as "everything we wanted it to be" to Us Weekly - composed the score for My Old A**, whilst parenting Winnie and Benny.

Speaking about working with Megan, he told People in 2024: "We have a shorthand. We understand a lot of the same things.

"I also know what she's looking for and she doesn't have a musical vocabulary, so she's like, 'I kind of want it to feel like My Girl or like Casper or some kind of thing like that,' and I just know what she's talking about."

Tyler - who, with Megan, welcomed Winnie into the world in 2020, and Benny in 2024 - added: "I think she wants to use me on things moving forward on her other projects and stuff. I love scoring her stuff 'cause it keeps me home and not on the road."
