A South Auckland councillor says dirt bikers should have their rides crushed if they can't follow the rules

A South Auckland councillor says dirt bikers should have their rides crushed if they can't follow the rules

A 25-year-old man faces charges of reckless driving and aggravated failing to stop after a group of 40 bikers reached motorway speeds on sports fields and drove into oncoming traffic.

Manukau Ward councillor Alf Filipaina is echoing calls from Police for people to send in any footage so more people can be caught.

He says people who know the bikers should put the pressure on, and tell them to cut it out.
