Penrith coach Ivan Cleary believes his side's slow starts could inject a bit of confidence ahead of tonight's NRL grand final in Sydney

The Panthers are in their first decider in 17 years, up against the Melbourne Storm who are looking for their third premiership win since 2012.

In both of their finals victories, Penrith have come form behind after conceding first.

Cleary says it shows they can pick themselves up when they're down.
